You have tasks to perform alert - add option to "expire" a notification [Edited]

After decades of using Quicken, I find it very annoying to have the blue dot "You have tasks to perform", when clicking on it, no tasks related show up. This is primarily investment accounts (CMA, etc).

Why not have an option in Preferences that would allow one to "expire" the notifications if it happened before a certain period of time. The presumption is that the account is already in balance, so showing these messages is not warranted. I had one show up today from 2010 which didn't show up the previous months since this was instituted.
