So if we incorrectly delete an item we can restore it.

If this really is a Mac suggestion, Quicken Mac already has a pretty robust Undo command. As long as you haven't exited the program you can roll back just about any deletion - transactions, reports, & accounts can all be recovered. Once you exit the program, though, those deletions become permanent. That's consistent with how other Mac programs behave - it's kind of unusual in my experience for a Mac app to have its own "trash can".
