Incorrect payees from WF downloads

For over a year, the incorrect payees have been appearing for my WF downloads (either manually or via the automatic reconcile option in Quicken). I have spent sooooo many hours fixing all this as I need to be able at year end to reconcile my expenses for tax purposes. If I'm going to need to fix the majority of transactions, what's the point of having Quicken? I could simply enter my transactions manually in an Excel spreadsheet and sort the categories. I give up on Quick, and I'm not going to spend more time trying to 'fix' the issues that are clearly a result of a bad product!

I’m sorry to hear about your experience with payees in Quicken. I’d be happy to help troubleshoot the issue so you don’t have to manually correct them each time transactions download.

To better understand what may be causing this behavior, could you please provide a bit more information?

• Has Quicken ever downloaded the correct payee names, or has this been happening since the accounts were first added?
• Is the issue limited to a specific account, or does it affect multiple Wells Fargo accounts?
• Where is your Quicken data file currently stored?
  • To check, open Quicken and go to File.
  • At the bottom of the menu under Recent Files, the file with the check mark next to it is the one currently open.
  • Please let me know the full file path listed there.
• When you view the transactions on the Wells Fargo website, do you see the payee names you would like Quicken to display?
• Have you created any renaming rules in Quicken to automatically update payees to the correct name?
