When is Quicken going to handle sales of call contracts as a short sale

Quicken needs to learn the sale of a "call contract" is a "short sale" transaction and not an equity sale. This is an incredible nuisance for 2 reasons. First, you need to accept each sale individually as if it were an equity sale with the need of lot identification BUT there aren't any lots. Second, each transaction type needs to be changed from "sold" to "shtsell". This is particularly frustrating because in the download activity each of my covered call sales are matched to a "call" asset. So, I'm touching each of these transactions 3 times. ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS!!!!!

It is the BROKER that sends the transaction. Quicken only processes it.

Several brokers send incorrect info and they would be the ones to fix it.

@bmciance The brokerage I trade options with is UBS.

@miklk I don't think it's a broker issue in this case. I reviewed the OFXLOG file for a sale transaction of a call option. The transaction was labeled as "<SELLOPT>" for the asset that is labeled as "<OPTTYPE>" of CALL. Also reviewing the log for "buy" of the base asset, that transaction was labeled as a "<BUYTYPE>" of BUY and the asset labeled "<STOCKTYPE>" of COMMON.

So UBS seems to be labeling the option and common stock assets plus the transactions intuitively correct. This appears to be a Quicken issue.
