Vanguard manual downloads import with errors
Other threads on Vanguard download/import problems are closed and none describe my experience. I always follow the instructions Jacobs received in another thread on Vanguard issues: download transactions to a QFX/OFX file and then import that into the relevant Quicken account. No problems until December 2025, when imported transactions for reinvested dividends were imported wrong. The January transactions from the VG report are shown in one attachment. The imported results into the Quicken file are shown in the other. Note that the Quicken transactions change the cash balance in the account because the dividend or interest is shown as increasing that balance and then separately as being reinvested, which doesn’t draw from the account balance. This messes up my VG accounts in Quicken, which has not happened before the end of 2025.
