Institution Authorization Repeatedly Required
Quicken Classic Deluxe Version 66.38, Build 27.166.28 running on Windows 11 Home
Lately, when I try to download transactions, Quicken says the financial institution needs to authorize the download, then it presents a sign-in point from Quicken to the account. It happens with Wells Fargo and American Express even when I have recently downloaded transactions from those accounts. Has anybody else experienced this anomaly?

Do you have more than one account with each of these banks?
It has been my experience that, when reauthorization is requested, you need to first deactivate all accounts with this bank and then, using Tools / Add Account, pretend to add accounts again. But, after entering bank userID and password, when you get to the list of accounts found at the bank, instead of adding new account registers, link all your accounts to the already existing Quicken account registers.
Once I had my accounts reauthorized successfully, I haven't been prompted for reauthorization in several months.
