An Option for Reports to Display a Symbol in place of a Zero Value
For large and/or complex reports, where there may be several to many zero's in report fields, the busyness of all those zeroes can make it hard to focus on more important specific numbers or fields on the report. Sometimes when I build a complex report outside of Quicken, on Excel, I choose to enter a simple symbol where a zero value occurs. Something like, " - - - " . Taking all of the zeroes out of the field of view makes it much easier to focus on the actual numbers. But, this can be a painstaking and time-consuming process. One definitely needs to weigh the advantage of an easier to read repot vs the time to produce it manually. I think it would be handy, even cool, if Quicken reports had an option to automatically display a selected simple symbol everywhere a zero value is displayed in a report. Just an idea. I am curious what others might think about this.
