Downloading from Bank of America

I have been downloading from Bank of America (BoA) into the same account for a long time. In the last few days something has changed. I was asked to approve the continued downloading of bank data from BoA. I did and now the transactions all go into a new account, not the old one. How can I correct this?

I am using Quicken Classsic (premier) for Windows, R67.7

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to the Quicken Community.

Before we proceed with any troubleshooting steps, I recommend creating a backup file.

After creating the backup file, I suggest disconnecting the new account and ensuring that the original account (with your full history) is also properly deactivated.

To deactivate an account:

1. Select the Tools menu and choose Account List.
2. In the Account List, select the account you want to deactivate, then click Edit.
3. In the Account Details window, click the Online Services tab.
4. Click Deactivate next to the service you want to disable.
5. Click Yes to confirm that you want to disable the service.

After that, we can reactivate the account:

1. Go to Tools > Add Account.
2. Select the bank for the deactivated account(s). If prompted, choose the connection method.
3. Enter your credentials and click Connect.
4. When the list of accounts appears, select Link next to each account you want to reactivate.
5. Click Next, then Done on the final prompt.

Once the account is linked to the correct one, you can delete the duplicate account.

To delete an account:

1. Click Tools in the top menu bar, then choose Account List.
2. Select the account you want to delete and click Edit.
3. In the Account Details window, click Delete Account.
   
4. Type YES in the confirmation window, then click OK to delete the account.
