Can US$ accounts be included in budget reports in Quicken Canada?

I am using Quicken Classic Deluxe Canada on a mac, I have some US$ bank accounts to pay bills in the states that are in Quicken. I have the transactions included in my budget in ballpark CDN equivalent, but am disappointed to see that the budget does not show any $ in either currency being spent, just zeros. Surely quicken could be using an exchange rate for the day (Opening, average, closing) or even just a ballpark one that I could enter to show this money being spent in the budget? Is it possible that it is in there somewhere and I havent found it yet?

Sadly, no, and you are not missing anything at this point. The budget feature will only pickup transx in the currency for which it was created with which in your case is CDN. It will ignore your US accounts.

I don't know how helpful this would be for you, but you can create a US$ Budget to pickup those US accounts you hold. To do this, you would (after making a backup), temporarily switch your Home Currency to US$ in Settings. Then, create a new budget. (You don't have to edit it now-it will just earmark it as US $ and you can edit later). Then, you can switch back to CDN in Settings, and the newly created budget will still be in US $ and will pick up the transactions in those accounts.

Until they improve the budget module (which is supposedly on the radar), this is about all you can do.
