I’m unable to delete an attachment from a transaction in Quicken. When I click the paperclip icon, the attachment dropdown briefly appears, but as soon as I move the mouse toward the list of attached items, the pick list collapses and disappears. The Delete option is also grayed out and cannot be selected.
Here are the details of what I’m seeing:
- The attachment icon shows that a file is linked to the transaction.
- Clicking the paperclip opens the small dropdown, but the moment I hover over the attached item, the menu vanishes.
- The Delete option remains disabled even though the transaction is not reconciled or locked.
- Opening the attachment viewer does not provide any way to remove the file.
- Restarting Quicken, unreconciling the transaction, and adding a new test attachment did not change the behavior.
It appears the UI is preventing access to the attachment manager entirely.
Is this a known issue, and is there a workaround to force the attachment list to stay open so I can delete the file?
Thanks in advance for any help.
