For the past several days my Bank of America and Merrill Lynch accounts have unable to connect. I have been able to reconnect, sometimes having to go through the process multiple times, but then the connections fail again on the next update. It is not happening to every account at these institutions every time, but cycling through them.

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to the Quicken Community.

We are aware of some ongoing changes involving Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. The Account_Not_Found error is often resolved by deactivating and reactivating all accounts associated with the financial institution.

Before proceeding, I recommend creating a backup of your Quicken file.

To deactivate the accounts:

Go to Accounts > Hide and Show Accounts.
Uncheck any hidden accounts associated with this financial institution.
In the Accounts toolbar, select each affected account.
Click the Settings icon in the bottom-right corner.
Select the Downloads tab.
Click Disconnect Account.
Click Done.
Repeat these steps for all accounts associated with this financial institution.
Quit Quicken.

Once you follow the steps for each account related with the financial institutions affected

To reactivate the accounts:

Reopen Quicken.
Go to Accounts > Add Account.
Enter the name of the financial institution, select the appropriate option, and click Continue.
Enter your login credentials and click Continue.
Once Quicken displays the accounts it found, carefully link each account to the existing account already set up in Quicken.

Now I am also getting "There is a problem downloading transactions for this account ('BofA Checking'). (1006)"

Thanks for your reply.

After reviewing my internal tools, I can see that the Bank of America accounts currently show a status of "OK."

If you are still seeing the 1006 error, I recommend waiting 24 to 48 hours before trying the connection again, as this issue is most commonly caused by a temporary server issue.

If the issue persists, I suggest following the steps above to deactivate and reactivate the accounts.
