My question is related to reconciling a credit card account with CitiVisa.

The issue is that the balance Quicken is reconciling to is December 31,2026. CitiVisa's website states that all actions are managed by Quicken/Intuit. I can not find an option in Quicken to change the date the software is using to the previous date or today's date. I have reset the account and reauthorized Quicken to CitiVisa on numerous occasions, which will change the date Quicken uses to the previous day. But that is lost the next instance of opening Quicken. How can I remedy the issue of Quicken moving the reconciliation date back to December 31, 2026?

Thank you for sharing the details of what you’re experiencing with the reconciliation issue, as well as the troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried. That information is very helpful.

At this point, I recommend completely deactivating and reactivating the affected account(s) by following the steps below (please save a backup first):

1. Deactivate the affected accounts

1. Select the Tools menu and select Account List....
2. In the Account List, select the account you want to deactivate, and then click Edit.
3. In the Account Details window, click the Online Services tab.
4. Click Deactivate next to the service you want to disable.
5. Click Yes to the message confirming if you want to disable this service. 
6. Repeat these steps for each affected account.
7. Log in to your bank’s website and revoke Quicken’s third-party access (if applicable).

2. Validate your file

1. Go to File
2. Select Validate and Repair File
3. Choose Validate File
4. Click OK

3. Reactivate and relink the accounts

1. Go to Tools> Add account
2. Select the bank for the deactivated account(s). If prompted, select the connection method.
3. Enter your credentials and click Connect.
4. When the list of located accounts appears, choose LINK next to each account you want to reactivate (do not choose Add, as that would create duplicates).
5. Click Next then Done on the last prompt.
