Why aren't my accounts updating since April 2026?

I have Quicken Classic Business & Personal v R67.10 and have been using this platform for about 20 years! Last year I had all kinds of trouble getting transactions to download from Bank of Hawaii. FINALLY got that fixed after several months. Everything worked fine for about 3 months. Now, starting in mid April, transactions from Chase (4 cards), Citibank Costco, Barclays (Hawaiian Airlines Mastercard) and Synchrony Bank (Amazon) have not downloaded. Also First Northern Bank in CA. Any advice?

Thank you for the update and for providing the screenshots; they're very helpful.

I'm glad to hear that some of your accounts are now updating properly.

Regarding the Citibank error message, this issue can sometimes occur if your active Quicken data file is stored in a cloud storage folder such as Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or Carbonite.

Some of the other programs that can cause these errors are:

* OneDrive
* Google Drive
* Carbonite

Important: Avoid opening Quicken data files directly from Dropbox or any other online storage folder, as this can cause issues with your data file; always open them from your computer. Dropbox and all other online folders should be used only for storage of your Quicken backup files, not to keep your active Quicken data file in.

To resolve these errors

First, confirm the location of your data file:

* Go to File > Show this file on my computer.

2. Review the file location path in the bar above the list of files.

If "Dropbox" (or the name of your online storage program) is in the file path, then follow the steps below to move it out of online storage folder and onto your computer.

To move your data file from an online storage folder:

1. Open the online storage folder.

2. Drag the data file from that folder to your desktop.

3. Dropbox users: If you're prompted to confirm, click Move out of Dropbox.

4. Double-click the data file that you've placed on your desktop to open it.

If you need to use a Quicken data file on another computer, you will need to move the file to that computer. For instructions on the different ways to move a data file, click here.

After moving the file and reopening it, please run One Step Update again and update all of your accounts, including Citibank, Barclays, and Chase.

Aloha @Quicken Laura thanks so much for your reply and assistance. Rebooted my computer, here's the status:

First Northern Bank - success! All past transactions downloaded.

Synchrony: working!

Barclays : only a few random transactions appeared. One from 5/2, and two that are transfers from other accounts (one in April, one in May). I am missing a whole slew of transactions since last successful download on 4/3/2026. Very concerning as this is a heavily used account.

Chase: transactions are not downloading. It says it is connecting :-(

Tried reactivating Citibank = similar issue to what was happening for so many months with Bank of Hawaii - Quicken can't seem to get information and wants to set up as a manual account. I've uploaded screenshots of the last two items. So frustrating - these are also highly used accounts.

Thank you for reaching out and for providing details about the issues you're experiencing.

I reviewed your accounts on our end and found the following:

* Chase Accounts (4): All four accounts appear to be connected properly and are not showing any errors on our side. Could you please confirm whether you are seeing any specific error messages when updating these accounts?
* Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi: This account appears to require reauthorization. Please follow the reauthorization steps provided below.
* Barclays Bank Delaware: The account appears to be connected successfully on our end. Please let us know what error or behavior you are experiencing with this account.
* Amazon.com Store Card (Synchrony): I refreshed the account connection, and it now appears to be connected properly. Please try updating the account and let us know if you receive any errors during the update process or in the One Step Update Summary.
* First Northern Bank: This account also appears to be connected. Please run an update and let us know if you encounter any errors.

To reauthorize an account, please follow these steps:

Deactivate account:

* Select "Tools"
* Select "Account list"
* In the Account List, select the account you want to deactivate, and then click Edit.
* In the Account Details window, click the Online Services tab.
* Click Deactivate next to the service you want to disable.
* Click Yes to the message confirming if you want to disable this service. 
* Revoke Quicken’s third-party access from your account on the FI website.

Reactivate account:

* Go to Tools > Add Account.
* Search for and select your financial institution.
* If prompted, choose the appropriate connection method.
* Follow the on-screen instructions.
* When the list of found accounts appears, be sure to select Link to connect them to your existing accounts (do not add duplicates).
