I have an account that uses Fidelity Cash Reserves as its core account and is broken up into two Quicken accounts in the "All Transactions" bar - one under "Banking" and one under "Investing". Every once in a while when I perform an online update, I have a transaction labeled "Establish cash balance" appear in the banking account that effectively doubles my cash balance by entering an amount equal to my current cash balance. On the same day, the Investing account registered a placeholder entry to bring my Cash reserves balance to 0. I'm pretty sure (not certain) that I have my core account set to cash reserves (not sure how to check).
I was reading "AAAUGH! More Fidelity Core Money Market Fund Issues" in hopes that it would solve my problem, but I could not get to the "Cash balance and money market preference" screen. When I hit edit for this account (as described in the instructions), I only have tabs for "General" and "Display option" but it appears that what I want is in a tab called "Online Services". How can I find that, and is that even what I need to fix this?
