BOA Accounts won't download or Reconcile

I always updated my BOA accounts by simply choosing "Reconcile an Account (Ctrl - R)" since we can no longer download updates manually. When I do this, it asks me to reauthenticate my BOA account. I go to the BOA website and do this. I go back to Quicken, and looks to down load something (Window updates) but nothing is updated. I try again and it says I need to reauthenticate again. It's just an endless loop. Does anyone have a solution??

Hi @catbyte,

I've checked your accounts on our end and found that they are currently linked to an older instance, zzz-Bank of America-All Other States. This is likely why your accounts are not updating properly and why you continue to receive reauthorization prompts.

To resolve the issue, you'll need to disconnect the affected accounts and reconnect them using the current Bank of America instance. Before proceeding, I recommend creating a backup of your data file.

1. Deactivate the affected accounts

1. Select the Tools menu and select Account List....
2. In the Account List, select the account you want to deactivate, and then click Edit.
3. In the Account Details window, click the Online Services tab.
4. Click Deactivate next to the service you want to disable.
5. Click Yes to the message confirming if you want to disable this service. 
6. Removed the FI and account number fields in the General tab of the account details window.
7. Repeat these steps for each affected account.
8. Log in to your bank’s website and revoke Quicken’s third-party access (if applicable).

2. Reactivate and relink the accounts

1. Go to Tools> Add account
2. Select the bank for the deactivated account(s). If prompted, select the connection method.
3. Enter your credentials and click Connect.
4. When the list of located accounts appears, choose LINK next to each account you want to reactivate (do not choose Add, as that would create duplicates).
5. Click Next then Done on the last prompt.
