A couple of months ago my wife received notice that her AA Advantage card was moving from Barclay's to CitiCard. Until she received her new card she was to continue using the old. Payments were to be sent to Citi using the old account/card number. I was able to make the appropriate changes in Q., including setting up a new on-line payee for Citi, and verified by sending a small 'test' payment. Q. sent the necessary online payee info to my bank, and was properly reflected on the bank's website. Payment was properly made, cleared and reconciled in Q. So far so good, just wait for the new card to arrive.
The new card, with new account number arrived today. I started to make the necessary changes in Q. First, I discovered that for the account itself, the account number was already correct (shown as 'xxxxxx****' where '****' is actually the last four of the account number. But when I tried to edit the 'online payee', it wouldn't let me change the account number, and if I tried to add a new online payee, it rejected, saying I already had one by that name - even after succesfully deleting the existing online payee. FWIW, there is a pending payment made, but not yet cleared.
