I have an erroneous placeholder transaction added to my account during a download

Update:  Disconnected the online access for the account and set up the online connectivity again.  This seems to have solved the issue.

When I download transactions for my Fidelity brokerage account, Quickin adds a placeholder transaction for a security/index that I have never owned. I can simply delete the placeholder to get everything correctly reconciled, but I’d like to find a way to avoid having to do this every time I download transactions.

Does anyone know why the placeholder is created, when it's a security I’ve never owned, and if there is any way to remove this spurious transaction?

Is it possible there was a spin-off from another security that you owned and it created the unrecognized security Fidelity is reporting?

Usually once you delete the placeholder, it stays deleted. But it seems that Fidelity is telling Quicken that you own that security. You should double check your Fidelity account.
