Year end archive/copy not working

I have almost 20 years of data in my file that I use every day. I have tried trimming that down to 10 years using all the back/data copy options. I want pre 2016 transaction in one file, and post 2016 to current transactions in a different file. I have tried every permutation of these functions to make it work. It goes through the motions, then when it is "done" I get the message, "File Not Copied," and nothing has changed. How can I transfer my pre 2016 transactions to a separate file and cleve them from my current file?

Before creating the archive copy, have you tried validating your data file? If not, please follow the steps below and then attempt to archive the file again (make sure to save a backup first):

1. Go to File
2. Select Validate and Repair File
3. Choose Validate File
4. Click OK

This process checks for errors in the data file and can help resolve issues caused by file corruption.
