Cloud Sync Log not updating

I took a look at the Cloud Sync Log and the last line with a date on it is (emphasis mine)

That's almost a month ago. I was looking at the current log. I have been doing OSU almost daily and that includes financial institutions that use EWC and EWC+. Those OSUs have been working. I see no error messages indicating a problem. I have looked at the Cloud Sync Log previously and always found current dates in it.

The OFX Log and Connection Log have current dates.

What's going on here?

Couple of things I should have included in the post:

Running Quicken Classic for Windows version R67.10 Build 27.1.67.10
I have another data file on the computer under another userid. Its Cloud Sync Log has current dates.

Try adding a .txt extension to the end of the file. Quicken should create a new one the next time the file is opened. I just posted that my cloud sync file keeps growing without being replaced. Weird.

@markus1957, I tried looking for the Cloud Sync Log but could not find it. Google said the file name is synclog.dat but I could not find one anywhere in C:. But I can view it through Quicken - both of them - the one in my user account and the other one in the other user account. Makes no sense. Can the path be found somewhere from within Quicken? Is it a hidden file?

The cloud sync log name starts with the name of the data file and is located in the same folder as the data file….. FileName_SyncLog.dat. If you open Windows Explorer and navigate to the Quicken folder where your data file is stored, you will usually find it directly below the data file. The data file path can be found under the File section of the menu bar in Quicken.

Thanks. Found it. It had grown to 23MB and had a date modified of today’s date but still no content with date beyond May 29, 2026. How big is yours? Maybe the issue is that it no longer spins off a new one when it should and, when it hits some max size, it stops updating. *_Synclog1.dat (presumably the old Cloud Sync Log) is about 5MB. That’s probably the size where it should spin off a new one.

Changing name by adding .txt resulted in a new one being created upon opening Quicken. I watched it in Windows Explorer grow to 394KB during an OSU. A brief scan of it after the OSU completed makes me think it’s working again. But this is a bit scary. Now I have to check Cloud Sync Log regularly to make sure it is updating in case I need it to report a problem.
