Quicken check formatting

I have been using a different accounting software…..but I am changing to Quicken and want to write checks using the stub-check-stub format. Quicken Classic does not allow that formatting. PLEASE - can someone help me so I don’t need to throw away a whole box of checks?

As you found out, Quicken only supports Quicken and Quickbooks - compatible check styles.

I found an old note in my records from several years ago:

Blank check stock or unsupported check styles require add-on software and printer drivers ($$$) from third-party vendors like Avanquest and perhaps even the use of special MICR-toner/ink together with check forms compatible with the vendor's software.
To print these checks directly from Quicken you need to be sure to have a version of this add-on software which supports your version of Quicken before you buy anything, software or blank check forms.

IOW, with this add-on software, if it still exists and is compatible with the version of your Quicken software, you may be able to print your current, not compatible with Quicken, checks.

Try at your own risk. YMMV. I don't use this software.
Quicken does not support this method.

My 2cents' worth:
I use Voucher Checks (1 business size check + 2 stubs on an 8.5x11" sheet). My printers do not have a manual feed tray or 2nd paper tray that can easily be reconfigured to feed partial pages (1 or 2 checks left from a
3-checks-per-page sheet), so for my occasional check printing needs Voucher Checks are easiest to use.
When making a purchase decision for a new supply of check forms and considering your own check stock to use, consider how easy or difficult it is to feed special forms or odd-size partial pages into your printer.
