If I choose to accept the share balances reported by my brokerage account, is there a way to delete placeholders without affecting share balances in the account?

If you choose to accept the share balances reported by your brokerage, Quicken will create placeholder entries to reconcile your account holdings with the share balances reported by your financial institution.
In general, deleting those placeholders without first resolving the underlying share discrepancies will cause the share balances in the account to become inaccurate. Instead, I recommend resolving the placeholder entries so your brokerage account balances correctly.
