R68.28 crashes during every One Step Update with Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error R6025 (Windows 1

Question

I am running Quicken Classic Business & Personal for Windows:

* Version: R68.28 (Build 27.1.68.28)
* Operating System: Windows 11 Home

Since updating to R68.28, Quicken crashes every time I run One Step Update.

The error displayed is:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
R6025 – Pure Virtual Function Call

Immediately afterward, Quicken displays the BugSplat crash reporter.

I have already completed the following troubleshooting:

* Restarted Windows
* Ran Validate (no errors found)
* Ran Super Validate (no errors found)
* Disabled Mobile & Web Sync
* Tried again after restarting Quicken

The problem is 100% reproducible.

Quicken otherwise appears to function normally. The crash only occurs when running One Step Update.

Questions:

* Has anyone else experienced this after updating to R68.28?
* Is Quicken aware of this issue?
* Is there a recommended workaround, or should affected users wait for a maintenance release?

UPDATE (Solved for now):

I wanted to provide an update in case this helps others.

After the repeated R6025 "Pure Virtual Function Call" crashes during One Step Update, I did not reinstall Quicken or roll back versions.

Instead, I:

* Ran Validate (no errors)
* Ran Super Validate (no errors)
* Disabled Mobile & Web Sync
* Updated each financial institution individually rather than using One Step Update
* Noticed that my American Express accounts had somehow lost their online setup and disappeared from One Step Update
* Reconnected the American Express accounts using Link to Existing Account

After updating each institution individually and reconnecting Amex, full One Step Update is now working normally again.

I don't know which step actually resolved the problem, but the issue has not returned after reconnecting American Express and successfully running another complete One Step Update.

I'm leaving this thread open because I still don't know what originally caused the R6025 runtime error. If it returns, I'll post another update.

Hopefully this information helps Quicken engineering or anyone else experiencing the same issue.
