I have discovered a bug with how Quicken tracks tax lots in R68.28 (updated: initially seen in R68.25). I don't see the bug in R67.10. Good idea or not, I track lots of a money market mutual fund in my brokerage account (it's a brokerage account with a linked cash account, if that matters) and I have an example where a sale on 1/5/2026 selected a lot from 7/3/2025 that had previously been sold.
The bug shows up in the Capital Gains report as well as the Investing→Go To Investing portfolio view. I'll attach some screen shots showing the problem.
Here's the Capital Gains report for R68.28 showing the sale.
Here's an Investing→Go To Investing portfolio view of available lots the day before the sale 1/4/2026. The 7/3/2025 and 10/15/2025 tax lots had already been sold and shouldn't be here. Again, this is R68.28.
If I set the portfolio view to 12/18/2026, the correct tax lots are shown (again, this is R68.28):
If I set the portfolio view one day later to 12/19/2025, the wrong tax lots are shown (again this is R68.28):
Curiously, there is a sale on 12/19/2025 of 125.98 shares.
I tried to Help→Report a problem from within Quicken but am presently getting an error that the server can't be reached. I'll try again later.
