One Step Update Failing for All Accounts with CC-501

Today, when I try a One Step Update (OSU), it takes a long time (> 5 minutes) to finish (using about half my CPU) and gives me CC-501 errors ("we are unable to update this account due to an unknown error") on every one of my accounts at every financial institution.

EDIT: I tried 2 different Quicken accounts and a grand total of one FI managed a download (Morgan Stanley). All other FIs (Bank of America, Chase, USAA, NFCU and Schwab) in my 3 Quicken account sets failed.

Same issue. I assume Quicken's backend infrastructure is down, although there is nothing posted on the alerts section.

Ditto - all EWC+ accounts. Long wait on "processing data", then says "Complete" but gives CC501 error . As of 1:50 Eastern Daylight time.

I have reported another problem via Help - report a problem - 4 TIMES and never received a fix. This has happened repeatedly over several years making me wonder what the hey "report a problem" ever does.

I updated to latest version July 2026. My accounts are no longer updating. I have restarted my computer several times. I have re-loaded the newest version into Quicken. I re-freshed scheduled updates. I de-activated one account and I cannot get it to re-activate. Please help.

Direct connect accounts are working fine! All web connect and web connect+ accounts failing with cc-501. Running Quicken Classic Premier R67.10 build 27.1.67.10

I have the same problem with getting the 501 error, but I don't know how to bookmark it as instructed. I am signed in but it is not obvious how to bookmark this problem.

After reviewing your connections internally, I do not see any errors on our end. Are you getting a CC-501 with Charles Schwab? If so, please wait 24 hours and then try again.
