Since the latest update I can't access my Bank of America account. The error says there is a connectivity problem. Because I'm using Quicken, Bank of America website won't connect either.
BTW, I'm using Quicken desktop
Hi @bcsweetman,
Thank you for letting us know what you're experiencing.
I checked your accounts on our end and found that only one of them is currently showing a CC-800 error. This error typically indicates that the account's online connection needs to be reset by disconnecting and reconnecting it.
Please follow the steps below (make sure to save a backup first):
1. Deactivate the affected accounts
2. Reactivate and relink the accounts
After completing these steps, please let me know if the issue persists. If it does, I'd appreciate it if you could attach a screenshot of the error message you receive when updating or connecting the account. That will help me determine whether your issue is related to a known ongoing issue or requires additional troubleshooting.
I look forward to your update!
Just checking in; we haven't heard back from you in a while.
Do you still need assistance?
Thank you!
I am having problems with bank of america as well. I haven't been able to download transactions from my checking account for a week.
I have performed the above steps multiple times and nothing seems to work. The savings account downloads correctly but the checking account goes through the whole process and tells me "transactions have been downloaded for the last three days" and it puts a weird adjusting transaction in my register, but no transactions ever download.
Quicken Premier Windows desktop
More information regarding my last post:
I performed manual operation to try and reconcile my account but I get an error message "unable to reconcile because there are downloaded transactions…"
I click to download the transactions and it tells me:
CC-506 Quicken is unable to update your account. This may be because the account was closed, or its nickname was changed. If I click FIX IT it goes through the whole thing again.
This persists no matter how many times I try to download.
Thank you for chiming in. Based on the error you’re receiving, I recommend following the steps below carefully. Before proceeding, please create a backup of your Quicken file.
Update to the latest release of Quicken
Refresh your account information
Deactivate all accounts for this financial institution, then force Quicken to "discover" all available accounts:
If the account was closed, deactivate it from future online updates
Please let me know the results after completing these steps, including any error messages or codes you receive. I look forward to hearing from you.

If I choose Tools - One Step Update :
error message 'One or more accounts need your attention' (CC-800 error) Options: Continue Update Cancel Update
If I update from within the account using the gear icon, the transactions are downloaded correctly
It seems like a problem with One Step Update since the same behavior is happening with AMEX account
Both accounts stopped working after their permissions expired and I had to refresh them. The accounts which do not fit these parameters are working correctly
Thank you for sharing more information. That behavior is a bit unusual.
You mentioned that you’ve already completed the previous steps to deactivate and reactivate your accounts multiple times. However, I’d like to confirm that you performed the process for all accounts with the affected financial institution at the same time.
For example, with Bank of America:
Please follow the same process for any other affected financial institutions.
I look forward to your response.
Hi @Roni10,
I was able to go through the activate/deactivate process and things are working correctly now 🙂 thank you for the help!
Amazing! I’m glad to hear that everything is working correctly now.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.
