I have a Chase credit card that used to have a linked e-bill. Somehow or another that e-bill was removed, but whenever I try to add the e-bill Quicken tells me that the account already has a linked e-bill. How can I get Quicken to recognize that the e-bill is not there and let me re-add it?
I don't use MAC but the process should be the same. Screens below are Windows so yours may look quite different.
How long has this been going on? The switch to the new online biller happened a while ago and it created quite a few problems. Are any other online bills affected?
Go to Bills and Income. Select the "Gear icon" in the upper right corner, the "Review and Repair", then "Review and Repair Online Billers". Note the response. Mine say "Validation Complete. Local bills are in sync with the server".
Go to your Chase card in the Online Bills tab and select the drop down next to Quick Pay. Do you see the option to "unlink"? If so try it and relink the account.
Review and Repair
Unlink (don't have Chase so AMEX shown).
I'm on Quicken for Mac. There is no gear icon, there is no review and repair. In the three-dot menu next to payment actions for this bill, it does not give me an Unlink option, only Link — again, indicating that there is no linked e-bill, but when I try to link it it tells me that all the eligible accounts are already linked. Which they are not.
My apologies. Someone using a MAC should be along soon. What version of OS are you on?
No worries — these differences between the Windows and Mac versions can be super frustrating!
I'm on MacOS 26.5.2 and Quicken 9.1.1.
Thanks for the help!
