If you're looking to share your Quicken data with someone else, I recommend following the steps outlined in our Support Article on Using Data Sharing in Quicken Classic on the Web.

The Data Sharing feature lets you securely share your Quicken data with a trusted family member or third party through Quicken on the Web. Shared users sign in using their own Quicken ID and password, so you never have to share your login credentials.

Before using Data Sharing, please keep the following in mind:

• Cloud Sync must be enabled for your Quicken data file. Only synced data can be shared.
• Shared users need their own Quicken ID. If they don't already have one, they'll be prompted to create one.
• You control access. You can add or remove shared users at any time.
• Shared users cannot access your Quicken desktop application. They can only access the shared data through Quicken on the Web.
• Your Quicken subscription must be active to use Data Sharing.
• Shared users only have access to the specific data file you choose to share, not all of your Quicken files.

To share your data file:

• Sign in to Quicken on the Web.
• Hover over the left-side menu and click Profile (the letter icon in the lower-left corner).

• Select Manage Sharing.
• Hover over the data file you want to share (do not click on it).
• Click the blue Share button.

• Enter the following information for the person you want to invite:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address (this must match the email associated with their Quicken ID)
• Click Invite.

The invited person will receive an email notifying them that they've been granted access. They can then sign in using their own Quicken ID.

Important: Anyone you invite will be able to view and modify all of the accounts, transactions, and other information in the shared data file.
