Why did Quicken file size after updating to MacOS 14.8.8 increase from 261.0 MB to 606.2 MB

This morning, I updated Sonoma on Mac OS to 14.8.8.  The previous Quicken Data file size was 261.9 MB.  After checking transactions and saving after the update to 14.8.8, the file size is now 606.2 MB.  Why the 3 fold increase in Quicken Data file size?

Nevermind.  The size of the backup is about 1/3 the size of the file.  I was looking at the size of the backup file, which hasn't changed.  Please ignore this post.
