My bank download has stopped working

I just updated to Quicken R68.32, Build 27.1.68.32. When I try to download my bank statements, I get the following error.

I looked in the Quicken folder for Quicken.msi but can't see it. I have no idea what this means or how to correct it. Any ideas?

Thank you for taking the time to post in the Quicken Community. Before following any of the troubleshooting steps, I recommend creating a backup of your data file.

If you haven't done so already, I recommend uninstalling and then reinstalling Quicken.

To uninstall Quicken:

Click the Start button and select Settings (gear icon).

Select Apps, then click Installed apps.
Scroll down to Quicken, click the three-dot menu, and select Uninstall.
Click Uninstall again to confirm, then follow the on-screen prompts until Quicken has been removed.

To reinstall Quicken:

Open our Support Article for installing Quicken.
Scroll down to the installation instructions and select the appropriate button to download Quicken for Windows.

Click Run to begin the installation.
- If you're using Google Chrome, click the downloaded file in the bottom-left corner of the browser after the download completes.
- If you're using Firefox, click Save File, then click the Downloads icon in the upper-right corner and select the Quicken .exe file.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation:

Click Next to get started.
Click Install when prompted.

Once the installation is complete, click Done.

Many thanks again. The first time uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work. But I tried it again and it worked fine. It also solved the problem with the bank download. It is now working fine. I really appreciate your assistance.

Many thanks for the advice. My concern is, if I uninstall it, will I lose all of my data? I also don't understand what happened. Was it the update that caused the problem

No, your data will not be lost if you uninstall and reinstall Quicken. However, I recommend creating a backup and saving it to your desktop or a thumb drive to make sure your data is stored in a safe place.

This error happens when Windows tries to configure or update Quicken, but it cannot find the required installation file (Quicken.msi), or there is an issue with the installation.
