When did Quicken change the default backup location to use OneDrive? Why? I want NONE of my data in the cloud; if I did, I would use the Quicken online version. Please remove OneDrive as the default back-up location!
My backup strategy is to use Backblaze to back up my local files to encrypted files in the cloud. This back up includes my Quicken files and my local Quicken back-up files. I run the Quicken back-up only to guard against a corrupted Quicken file, not hard drive failure.
Yesterday, the back-up window popped up and I saved the back up without looking at the save location path, which I assumed was the path I always used. The file was saved to OneDrive. Somehow, this triggered OneDrive to make a copy of all my local files to OneDrive. I have spent hours learning about OneDrive and how to remove these copies and not loose any local files. I think Microsoft is evil for the way they have deployed OneDrive on Win11. They want our data to feed their CoPilot AI.
