I am trying to add Community America Credit Union as an account on Quicken Classic. I am doing so as they took over my previous credit union, Unify. Is anyone having a problem linking to Community America?
I’m in the same situation. I notified a Community America Customer support rep last Monday after their integration of the purchased CU. She was supposed to escalate the problem if she didn’t get a response internally. I haven’t heard back from her. They also haven’t loaded the past statements or even the one from July. They also didn’t initially support Zelle or Bill Pay for accounts without a first name such as trust accounts. The CU they merged with had no problem. This was fixed late last week. Their phone wait times are measured in hours so I haven’t continued to pursue it. I think I will later today.
Hi @BRodilitz and @cyberphile, Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Since the accounts have been migrated to CommunityAmerica Credit Union, I’d like to ask you a few questions to better understand the issue:
This information will help me determine the best troubleshooting steps to recommend.
I look forward to your reply!
duplicate post …
@Quicken Carlos I don't know about the other person but I was a member of the credit union Community America merged with. The weekend of Aug 1, 2026, Community America shutdown the other credit union's website and tried to merge those accounts into their system. It did not go well to be diplomatic. For example, it has been a full week and Community America still hasn't "loaded" the monthly statements for the legacy credit union accounts, especially the July 2026 statement that would have been generated the weekend of the cut over. The telephone wait times have been over an hour and there have been reports of long lines in the branches of the legacy credit union of people waiting to get help. There have been reports of businesses, such as Southern California Edision, not recognizing the new routing and account numbers for payments via ACH.
I don't know if Community America already supported connectivity with Quicken or not. They did not correctly support Zelle or Bill Pay for some accounts. Trust accounts were created without a first name field and the name of the trust in the last name. Their Zelle and Bill Pay features required a first name field. The prior credit union's system did not. Community America put a period in the first name field of those accounts to work around this issue. I've heard them mention that they chose the same weekend to upgrade their software. If so, not a good decision.
I can log in to Community America's web site (https://www.communityamerica.com) with the same credentials that I use when Quicken attempts to activate my accounts. Quicken responds with a CC-503 invalid credentials error message when I attempt to activate the account. There are two choices of institutions on the activation search screen and both return the same error message. Their customer support escalated my problem the next day. I hadn't heard from them so I asked for a status today. Because the responder didn't really understand how Quicken authenticates, I asked to have one of their Quicken subject matter experts or supervisors contact me due the length of time this has not worked. They put in a request for a manager to contact me.
I have cut over all my accounts to Quicken via Express Web Connect. The credit cards are an issue. Right now QFX downloads work but Quicken is telling me there is an improved method. However, the network is not Community America but Community America CU Quicken. And it won't take my name/password.
The past statements (July) loaded once I signed up for estatements. I suspect they may be mailing the July Unify out otherwise.
The credit cards appear now to be managed not as an integral part of Community America but via First Data (look at the URL when you click on the card account) but the login information isn't consistent via Quicken.
Well, I was finally able to activate my Community America (formerly Unify) accounts in Quicken. Below is the Financial Institution search screen when I tried searching for communityamerica rather than community america. Who would have thought?
The one the worked is the one highlighted.
Notice the number of VERY similar search results! Heaven forbid CommunityAmerica be consistent with their names! Ugh!
But to be a bit stubborn — it's not just Community America. I have had the same issue with other financial institutions — and it may also be something on the Quicken end — but CACU did send out the instructions as all one phrase.
Hi @cyberphile and @barbfilk, Thank you both for providing these details and sharing what worked for you during the transition to CommunityAmerica Credit Union.
I’m glad to hear you were able to successfully connect by searching for “CommunityAmerica Credit Union” as one word and selecting the appropriate financial institution from the results. Your feedback will be very helpful to other users who may be experiencing the same issue.
Regarding the number of very similar search results, some financial institutions may provide multiple connection servers. Unfortunately, we don’t have control over the servers or connection options that a financial institution makes available.
If you run into any other issues or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always happy to help!
Thank you again for sharing your experience!
thank you for this!. it worked for my prior Unify (now CA CU) checking and savings accounts… any idea how to download the credit card? i see the post above and agree the CC is managed by first data with SSO login from CA CU
i have 6 choices… and my old Unify one. (marked OLD below)
the one marked WORKS did work for checking/saving (credit to the post below)
the one marked CC (credit card) vs DC (debit card)… see yellow - you would think would work for the CC managed by FirstData but no go
CC link is below https://onlinebanking.firstdata.com/ecs/community-america-cu/home#
