I use Quicken (9.2) for Mac (Tahoe 26.5.2), with Vanguard using Quicken Connect.
I have four Vanguard accounts:
- My IRA
- My Roth IRA
- Spouse's Roth IRA
- Joint Vanguard Cash Plus
All four accounts currently appear under one Vanguard connection in Quicken's Connectivity Status.
However, Vanguard has two separate user logins:
My Vanguard login has access to:
My IRA, My Roth, Joint Cash Plus
My spouse's Vanguard login has access to:
Spouse's Roth, Joint Cash Plus
The problem began after we added the jointly owned Cash Plus account.
When I reconnect/reauthorize using my credentials, my accounts may appear but the spouse's Roth can become disconnected. When I reconnect using my spouse's credentials, the reverse can happen.
There is also an unusual behavior where authenticating with one person's Vanguard credentials sometimes returns accounts belonging to the other person.
Vanguard has confirmed that both logins are correctly configured and has directed us to Quicken for the connectivity problem.
Question: Does Quicken Connect for Mac support a single Vanguard connection containing accounts that require two different Vanguard credentials when one of the accounts (Joint Cash Plus) is shared by both credentials? If so, how should that configuration be represented in Quicken?
I am not asking how to reconnect the accounts. I need to know whether the Vanguard/Quicken Connect aggregation model can correctly handle this ownership/credential arrangement.
