Changing Categories in Split Transactions

It is beyond frustrating to STILL not be able to change categories in a split transaction. I just had to enter upwards of 1000 entries by hand for tax purposes. I simply entered them incorrectly in the first place - LAST YEAR - and now I am trying to update them for taxes, and there is simply no way to do it. WHY

More details please. Are you saying you have transaction with 1000 split lines that you cannot edit? Or 1000s of transactions with a few split lines each that you cannot edit? Something else?

@HSHWMHOBX , The categories in split transactions CAN be changed in batches or in one single mass. Here's how:

Go to the rectangular global search box at the top right of the Quicken window and search for the current category that you want to change from. In my example below I want to change from the category of Restaurants to the category of Coffee Shops, so I searched for "restaurants" where it popped up the Search Results window.
You can sort the columns by clicking on the headings. In my example I sorted by the Payee column which showed me the split rows in blue color but I could've sorted by category as well. 'Very carefully' select the rows you wish to change to ensure you are selecting the right transactions in the right accounts. You can use the ctrl or shift keys to select in batches or mass select.
Select the Edit Transactions button and change the category to your desired one.

TIP: Changing 1000 rows in one mass would take a long time - maybe 1-2 seconds for each, so you could consider smaller batches. Remember to make a backup of your file first. Optionally try it in a test file to get the feel for it.
