Auto Loan and Bank registers not in sync (Q Mac)

Question

I have an Auto loan setup and it's showing me the next scheduled payment which is more than 14 days away (I don't see how to change this). The bank register that the payment is being made from does not yet show the transaction because it's more than 14 days and I have set the register to 'Show Reminders for the next 14 days' which I don't want to change.

So how can I change the Loan register to only show reminders for the next 14 days too?

Hmm, the loan is interest free so I just converted it to a liability which seems to work the way I want.

Generally yes. If the next payment is due within the next 30 days it will appear. When I created a test loan just now with the first payment due 9/25 it was displayed in the loan register, but if I changed the loan to make it due on the 26th then it did not appear. So it seems to be hard wired to a 30 day setting.
