Bank had to switch server. Had to reconnect bank account and need to merge data.

Question

My bank had to change servers.  I had to disconnect my old checking account access and reconnect which created a new access and account listing for the account.  I need to move the old data to the new access.  I also need to recreate same rules and looking forward transactions to the new account.

When you reconnected the account, you should have been offered the choice to reconnect to the exiting account rather than create a new account. Perhaps you missed that. I see a couple of options for you now:

* as Bob suggests, you could delete the new account and try again to reconnect the old account, linking to it when offered that option, or 
* Move all your old account transactions from the old account to the new one. To do this, you select all transactions in the old account, then drag and drop them to the new account in the sidebar. Before doing this, make sure the old account is reconciled (all transactions have green checkmarks in the Clr column). After moving them, you'll be able to identify which transactions were from the old account (green checkmarks) vs new account (blue checkmarks) to help identify any duplicate transactions (which there will like be).

I wouldn't move anything.  I'd disconnect your "new" account, and I'd modify your old account entry in Quicken to connect to your bank's new server. It's a lot cleaner and easier.
