I have used. Windows version for years and would like to transfer to MAC Laptop what’s best one?

I want to purchase a Mac laptop and need to know the best one to use for personal and business (I have rental properties).  Support has told me that they would help transfer my information and would like a suggestion from someone who uses a Mac.  I’ve had problems with my Windows laptop for the last several years, so I’m ready to switch.

One caveat - if you’re looking at used Macs make sure to get something with an Apple Silicon processor. I wouldn’t recommend an Intel Mac at this point unless you have a specific need for one, and you certainly don’t need one for Quicken. I’d probably avoid the M1 models too, they’re getting close to obsolescence as well.

Any Mac laptop that Apple currently sells will be able to run Quicken. A bigger screen will give you more room to display documents alongside Quicken (or just more room for Quicken itself). I currently use a base 15” M5 Air while traveling and Quicken works decently on it though not as fast as my Studio at home. I’m sure a MacBook Pro would perform better than an Air but I wouldn’t recommend upgrading to that just for Quicken.

While I very much like/prefer the Mac version, one limitation is that it does not have Rental Property management features.

Keep that in mind if you need that functionality.
