quicken cc and bank downloads major unresolved problems

many major banks and card company downloads aren't working in Quicken. American Express, Chase, wells fargo, …the list goes on with many reported problems taking well over a month to address, and many still waiting for resolution. Hours spent on the phone with QUicken and the banks. transaction downloads don't work Did something change recently to break so many transaction downloads? Anyone else seeing this?

@Renie If you would please give more details and share the error messages and which error code you’re getting for which financial institution, the moderators and other users here can usually tell you whether it’s a known issue and what the current workaround is, or provide the appropriate troubleshooting steps to resolve your issues.

I'm having a similar problem with setting up transaction downloads from my Chase credit card. I've gone through the "Set up transaction download" process multiple times with no apparent problems. Chase indicates that my account has been linked to Quicken and Quicken shows that the Chase account is already linked but the settings menu for the Chase account never shows the "Update now" option. What else do I need to do to link my Chase cc account?

@itsruss instead of setting up the account using "Set up transaction download", use Tools→Add account.

Backup your data file.
Deactivate your Chase credit card account.
On the General tab of Account Details, blank out, Financial Institution Name and Account Number.
Add the account by using Tools→Add account.
Go through the authorization steps and then carefully link your account with the existing account on Quicken.

If you are still having issues, you might need to go to your Chase online account and remove or delete prior authorizations. Typically, they would be under "third party authorizations" in the security area. Once that is done, try the reactivation steps again.
