I believe that this is caused by HSBC's new security protocol. You need to open the HSBC app on you phone, acknowledge that you're trying to login, and then hold your phone camera to the QR code that appears on your screen.

We’re receiving reports from customers experiencing connectivity issues with HSBC Bank USA following recent changes to HSBC’s login process.
Reported Errors
- Quicken for Windows: CC-506
- Quicken for Mac: FDP-324, FDP-5005, NO_ACCOUNTS_FOUND
- Simplifi: INVALID_CREDENTIAL
This issue has been escalated to our internal team for further investigation. We don’t have an ETA for a resolution at this time, but we’ll share updates as soon as more information becomes available.
