How does "Recall Memorized Payee..." box get unchecked?

I've been using Quicken for decades.  All of a sudden, the Category field of my Memorized Payees is not populating when I enter a transaction.  I found that the "Recall memorized payees" box in Preferences was unchecked.  Now, I didn't do that…. so how did it happen?

I don't recall when the last update was, but I last used Quicken one week ago, so if there was an update between now and then (more or less), that may be the explanation.  Yes, it is rare for an update to make changes to a user's Preferences, but I agree, it has happened.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I wanted to ask you whether this issue happened after the program updates.  While it is rare, preferences can change when the program updates to a newer version.
