Confirming you can't setup an asset account to display in the bills and income

Question

It doesn't make sense it would…but when setting up the escrow account for my mortgage it was suggested it be an asset account…and now that account doesn't appear in the projected balances tab.

Again I don't know that this is a bug but it would be nice to see my escrow balance projected a year from now since I have the asset account part of my mortgage payments and I have the taxes setup as bills….am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Setting it up as a checking account worked…and setting it to asset at least puts it in the right location….thanks guys!

Thanks for the response. My issue is that the account is listed under personal net worth…not personal banking. I think that category is correct but unfortunately, it doesn't let me use that account in the bills and income…even though I am able to setup bills against that account….But I still cannot see a projected balance.

Thank you for reaching out to us about trying to set up an asset account within your Quicken.

The following article that is highlighted in blue, will provide the following steps.

When you add a new account, Quicken adds it to the Account List (choose Tools menu> Account List). In most cases, you'll want to add all of your household's accounts in the same Quicken data file, so that you can track all your finances in one place.

* Click the Add Account icon on the top right of the Account Bar 
* Click Other Assets & Liabilities.
* Click Non-cash assets, any high-value property.
* On the Asset screen, enter the following:
