NC State Employees Credit Union (SECU) issue

When is this going to be resolved? It originally was noted June 8, 2026 - it is now Sept 17, 2026. Who's issue is this - SECU or Quicken? Who is resolving this issue? I have had Quicken for several decades and never had these issues - because of my history it would be hard to switch but I'm getting ready to.

Thanks for following up and for providing additional details about the SECU connection issue. I understand how frustrating it can be when you’re unable to reliably download your transactions. I’d like to gather a little more information to better understand what you’re experiencing.

Could you please confirm the following?

• What error code or message are you currently receiving?
• Are your accounts currently set up with Direct Connect?
  To check the connection method, go to Tools > Account List, select the account, click Edit, then select the Online Services tab.

• Do you use Bank Bill Pay through your SECU account?

If you do not use Bank Bill Pay, I suggest trying Express Web Connect as an alternative connection method. The issue with Express Web Connect has been resolved, so this may allow you to download your most recent transactions while the Direct Connect issue continues to be investigated.

Before making any changes, I recommend creating a backup of your Quicken file.

To deactivate the account:

• Go to Tools > Account List.
• Select the account you want to deactivate and click Edit.
• Select the Online Services tab.
• Click Deactivate next to the service you want to disable.

• Select Yes to confirm.

To reactivate the account using Express Web Connect:

• Go to Tools > Add Account.
• Search for and select SECU.
• If prompted to select a connection method, choose Express Web Connect.
• If the option is not displayed, select Advanced Options, then select Express Web Connect.
• Enter your SECU credentials and click Connect.
• When Quicken displays the accounts it found, select Link next to the existing Quicken account rather than adding it as a new account.

• Click Next, then Done when the process is complete.

Switching to Express Web Connect may affect your ability to use Bank Bill Pay until the Direct Connect connection is restored. For the latest information, I recommend monitoring the Community Alert for any updates regarding the Direct Connect issue.
