There is an issue with 2 entries in the register that have erroneous dates and amounts. The amount are so high that I am unable to see balances and all I see is **************. The entries has a payee Michael Sullivan - not my payee. I cannot delete these transactions or void them. Very strange. What should I do?

@Gary what you need to do right now is make a backup of your data file, do a data file validate and super validate. If that doesn't fix the issue, then restore a most current clean backup from before the transactions

@Gary the other thing you can try is to edit the transaction -

Open the transaction.
Change the amount to $0.01.
Change the date to today's date.
Save.

Sometimes once the corrupted values are replaced, the transaction can then be deleted.

@Gary just in case you haven't done a data file validate, here are some instructions -

Validate

Make a backup of your Quicken data file.
Select File > Validate and Repair File.
Check Validate File.
Click OK.
Wait for the process to finish.
Review the DATA_LOG.TXT file that opens automatically for any errors or repairs made.

Super Validate

Make a backup of your Quicken data file.
Hold down Ctrl + Shift on your keyboard.
While holding those keys, select File > Validate and Repair File.
A Super Validate File option will appear.
Check Super Validate File.
Click OK.
Wait for the process to complete.
Review the DATA_LOG.TXT file for any issues found or corrected.
