"Unspecified Bill Presentment Account"

Periodically, when I perform a One Step Update, Quicken adds an account entitled "Unspecified Bill Presentment Account" to my account list with a zero balance. It's easy to delete the account through the "Edit account detail" screen. But I'm curious why Quicken adds this account. Any ideas? TIA

Thank you for sharing the details of what you’re experiencing.

Have you tried validating the file? If not, please create a backup of your file first, then follow these steps:

1. Go to File
2. Select Validate and Repair File
3. Choose Validate File
4. Click OK
5. Review Log: Once completed, a log file (validate.txt) will open in Notepad. Review it for any errors.
