OL-301-A Download Prolem with Quicken Premier Classic

I have been using Q for years, routinely downloading from a number of accounts without problems. I recently had a problem and uninstalled/reinstalled Quicken. Since then, the download from my financial institution using an August 2026 backup gives me an OL-301-A error saying 'Error while fetching history'. The other accounts in the data file downloaded without problems.

Thoughts? Can someone help?

You mentioned that other accounts in the file updated successfully. Were those accounts at the same financial institution? Did you disconnect/reconnect these accounts, or did you just open the backup and run a One Step Update?

The OL-301 Error occurs when there is an issue connecting to the financial institution while using Direct Connect. This is a general error and should include a unique message provided by the financial institution explaining the action that is required.

If following the steps in the message do not resolve the issue (or no message is provided), you will need to contact the financial institution for assistance. Quicken does not have access to the financial institution's servers to correct the problem.

This may require you to request to speak with an online services specialist who handles transaction download issues at the financial institution. If your financial institution says they can't assist, you may need to escalate the issue with them.

Alyssa, I appreciate your advice. All of the other accounts I am downloading download successfully. I have already asked my financial institution for a computer specialist who can help me; we'll see if that helps.

The financial institution provided the following info: 'Your financial institution has rejected your request. Additional info from the financial institution: error while fetching history'. Nothing else; no suggestions. Hopefully the financial institution will have someone who can help.

When you get a chance to talk to the bank, let us know what they say! In the meantime, I have some follow-up questions for you:

Are the accounts that download successfully held at the same financial institution as the one that fails?
Which financial institution are you receiving this error from?
When you restored a backup, did you have to disconnect and reconnect any of your accounts, or did you just open the backup and do a One Step Update?
