Bank of America reauthorization duplicated accounts -- how do I fix it?

I reauthorized my Bank of America connection for downloading mortgage information, as required, and the result is that I now have two mortgages, one with the balance from before I updated and one with the current balance. How do I tell Quicken this is the same account? Why would reauthorizing access change the details of the loan itself? How do I fix this?

@PPhelps One possibility is that your original mortgage was a manually managed loan account rather than a connected/downloaded loan. The fact that it contains payment history points in that direction, since connected loan accounts typically do not maintain the same type of payment register.

During the Bank of America reauthorization, Quicken may have identified the mortgage as available for download and created a new connected loan account containing the current balance received from the lender. That would explain why the new account has no payment history while the original account retains all historical payments but stopped updating.

Check the Account Details for both mortgage accounts. If the original account is a manual loan and the new account is a connected loan, then Quicken may be showing two different representations of the same mortgage rather than having duplicated a previously connected account.

Do you have a loan payment reminder set up for the original mortgage loan?  That is another clue that the original mortgage loan was manually set up on Quicken

* Yes, for years. 
* All the detail is there, as it was before. 
* There is nothing. The new loan listing doesn't even have the loan number, like the old one did. Q asked me to input the address, etc. I haven't done any of that yet. 
* Different balances (pre-update and post-update).

@PPhelps some questions to understand the situation -

* Was your existing mortgage loan connected previously?
* When you go to the Payment Details tab for the existing loan, do you see a loan payment history, or just one Monthly Payment breakdown?
* For the newly created mortgage loan, what do you see when you go into the Payment Details tab?
* Do both mortgage loan accounts currently show the same balance?
