Saving the a specific Payee with different information

Hi everyone!

I have a payee, AT&T or even Verizon. in my register, I have various accounts, one for each house. I use AT&T or Verizon in various of these accounts, and the bills are obviously different (address, account number, etc..). How can I save a payee like AT&T, but with different addresses/account numbers? that way, if I pay an AT&T bill in house 1, (I search for it), I can also use it to pay AT&T's bill in house 2 (which has a different account/address to send invoice)? The only way that I have figured out how to do this is to create payee "AT&T act xxx", AT&T act "yyy", which is not very clean, because when I write the check, it will show the extra piece of information "act XXX" or "act YYY" after the payee "AT&T"….

@adareys there is a very old feature that is handy for your situation. Enclosing part of the payee text in curly brackets lets the text show for the payee on the account register but the extra text will not print in the check.

So your payees would be ATT {acct 123} and ATT {acct 456}.
