Why do I have to relink one or both of my Citi Visa and Citi MC cards EVERY DAY?

Mac OS 27.0.1, Quicken Classic Deluxe 9.2.2. For the last couple weeks, I've had to re-link my Citi Costco Visa and/or my Citi Strata MC card in order to download today's transactions. Typically, after I relink both cards and they are downloading properly, then the next day, one of them will not work and will need to be relinked. Then the following day, the other card will fail to download and need to be relinked. This back and forth then continues each day. This has never been the situation before. Anyone know what's happening and why the re-linking will not "stick"?

Thanks for answering the questions above.

As noted in our support article for this issue, there are two potential causes for this behavior.

First cause: Hidden or closed accounts

This behavior may occur if there are hidden or closed accounts in your data file that are still connected for transaction downloads.

If you are experiencing this behavior and do not have multiple data files, I suggest checking the Account List for any hidden or closed accounts that are still connected for downloads. Before following any of the troubleshooting steps, I suggest creating a backup file.

To resolve this issue:

* Go to the Tools menu and select Manage Hidden Accounts.
* Review the list for any accounts that are marked as hidden and/or closed.
* Uncheck the box next to the account so it appears in the Account List again.
* Go to Tools > Account List.
* Click Edit next to each affected account.
* In the Account Details window, select the Online Services tab.
* Click Deactivate.

Repeat these steps for each account you have with the financial institution that is prompting you to reauthorize your accounts.

Once these accounts have been deactivated for downloads, the authorization prompt should no longer appear.

Second cause: Multiple data files

This behavior may also occur if you have multiple data files with migrated accounts connected for transaction downloads. At this time, the new authorization process is limited to a single data file. If migrated accounts are connected or authorized in a different data file, the connection in the original data file may be signed out, causing you to receive the authorization prompt again.

Mac OS 27.0.1, Quicken Classic Premier 9.2.2. I also have to re-authorize my two Citi accounts almost every day. My Chase and Schwab accounts connect with no problem.

* Are these joint accounts? If so, are they authorized using only the primary account holder’s credentials, or are they also authorized using the secondary set of credentials?

They are authorized with the primary account holder's credentials.

* Have you recently disconnected and reconnected the accounts in Quicken?

No

* Is there an older account still connected to Citi Cards in Quicken, either visible in the Account List or hidden?

No

I will try re-authorizing the Citi accounts using Edge the next time this happens, as someone suggested.

After reviewing my internal sources, I couldn't find an error associated with your accounts that would explain why you are being prompted to reauthorize each time. I’d like to ask you a few questions to help determine what may be causing this:

* Are these joint accounts? If so, are they authorized using only the primary account holder’s credentials, or are they also authorized using the secondary set of credentials?
* Have you recently disconnected and reconnected the accounts in Quicken?
* Is there an older account still connected to Citi Cards in Quicken, either visible in the Account List or hidden?
