First Citizens Investor Services uses Netxinvestor portal. Has anyone been able to actually download investment activities to Quicken. I keep getting "nothing to approve" when I go to the NetXInvestor security portal to try to authorize Quicken.
Hi @rdlackey,
Thank you for sharing the details of what you’re experiencing.
Is this the first time you’re connecting your First Citizens Wealth account to Quicken? When you try to add the account and enter your user ID and password, what happens next?
I look forward to your response!
I have a new First Citizens checking account (they acquired BMO branches in my geography) and when I attempt to establish download transactions with FCB, Quicken immediately locks up. No error message. I have to CTL-ALT-DEL to Windows Task Manager and then End Task to be able to restart Quicken. Same happens for my CIT Bank online savings account, which until recently, was able to successfully download transactions to Quicken.
Hi @orionoflsl,
I’ve seen a few other reports of Quicken freezing when attempting to connect to CIT. I’d appreciate it if you could provide a bit more information to help us investigate.
Could you please let me know:
Thank you for providing these details. I look forward to your response!
first, quicken works fine with first citizens bank and I have no trouble with that. My issue is solely with the investment side which is handled separately from the bank. When I try to add the investment account I identify “netxinvestor” as the bank. First citizens investor services does not appear as a choice. When I put in my net investor login quicken replies that it cannot connect to the bank. However when I go to netxinvestor .com and log in with same credentials my first citizens investment avvount shows up. The web site is first citizens.netxinvestor .com. When I go to security settings at that website I have choices like changing the password etc. one choice is labeled “quicken” and that is where I am suppose to be able to authorize quicken to access the account but what says is “there is nothing to approve”. No error codes at any point
@Quicken Laura
When did the issue start? First Citizens acquired our BMO branch as of Sept 8, 2026. I've never been able to sync with First Citizens Bank for the checking account that was formerly with BMO. I had been syncing with CIT Bank from Quicken for about 2 years until that date, but not since. When attempting to setup online for either one now locks up Quicken and I have to End Task to recover.
Does this happen only with First Citizens Bank and CIT Bank, or are other financial institutions affected as well? It ONLY happens with First Citizens Bank and CIT Bank. And it only started with CIT Bank after First Citizens acquired BMO and migrated our account as of 9/8/26.
Where is your Quicken data file located? To check, open Quicken and go to File. At the bottom of the menu, the file with the check mark next to it is the one currently open. Please provide the full file path shown there. "D:\marty\Documents\Quicken Data Files\CURRENT FAMILY FINANCIAL STATEMENT.QDF"
Is your Quicken data file being backed up or synced by a third-party service, such as Carbonite, OneDrive, or Backblaze? No. I manually backup to an external drive.
Are you using a VPN, firewall, or antivirus software? If so, please let me know which one(s). Yes, a VPN. Surfshark (v 2.20.0)
Thank you for your response. At the moment, there are no known ongoing issues affecting First Citizens Bank. The only related issue our team is currently investigating involves CIT Bank returning FDP-105/FDP-102 errors, which appears to be different from what you’re experiencing.
To help troubleshoot the issue, I recommend creating a backup of your data file and then validating it by following these steps:
1. Validate your data file
This process can help identify and resolve certain data file issues.
2. Add accounts
Please let me know how it goes.
"Validate File" reported no issues (I run this periodically.) Your recommended procedure: Tools, Add Account, Connect, Link to Existing, successfully hooked up my First Citizens Bank checking account (Big Thanks!) but it failed with a CC-502 error for CIT Bank Online.
