The CC-501 issue with Fidelity has been going on for about a month now. The last update was around 9/23, and there's still no fix. What's going on with this?
Hi @SueB52, Thanks for reaching out to the Quicken Community and for bringing this to our attention. After reviewing our internal tools, I found the FDP-350. This message occurs when your security token has expired, and you need to re-enter your account credentials. Before following these troubleshooting steps, I recommend creating a backup of your Quicken file.
To deactivate the account:
Before reconnecting the account, I also suggest removing Quicken’s existing authorization from your financial institution’s website:
I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes!
This worked and I'm able to update my account. But I don't understand why this suddenly became an issue. I've been using Quicken and updating my accounts for over 10 years and never had to do this before. What changed?
Hi @SueB52, I’m glad to hear that the steps worked and you’re able to update your account again.
The reason this is different from what you’ve experienced in the past is that Fidelity has changed the connection method from Express Web Connect and Direct Connect to Express Web Connect+. With this connection method, the security authorization token can expire, which requires the account to be reauthorized.
This is why you may be seeing this process now, even though you have been using Quicken and updating your Fidelity accounts for many years without needing to do it before.
I hope this helps explain what changed. Thanks again for letting us know that the account is updating successfully!
I have been unable to download transactions from Fidelity Investments for weeks. Laura reporst:

This issue remains ongoing, and our teams continue to work toward a solution. No ETA or further details are available at this time, and we will update this alert as more information becomes available.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
Thank you!

Its now October 10.
Quicken has had problems with Fidelty before. Why is this a recurring problem and is Quicken applying the necessary resources?
HCJOE
Hi @HCJoe ,
Thanks for following up. After reviewing my internal tools, I found that the account is returning an FDP-350 error, which indicates that the security token has expired and the account needs to be reauthorized.
I suggest following the troubleshooting steps outlined above, including deactivating the account in Quicken, removing Quicken’s existing authorization from your financial institution’s website, and then reconnecting the account.
Please let me know if you continue to experience issues after completing these steps.
Thank you, Carlos.
In my case, I am getting a CC-501 Error, not FDP-2505 or FDP-350.
What are the recommendations for addressing a persistent Fidelity Investments CC-501 error?
Hi @HCJoe,
Thanks for your reply!
As mentioned in my previous post, after reviewing our internal tools, I was able to confirm that your account is experiencing an FDP-350 error.
CC-501 is a general error that can occur for multiple reasons. In this case, I was able to confirm through our internal tools that the underlying issue is related to FDP-350, even though Quicken displays CC-501 in the product.
I suggest following the troubleshooting steps outlined above in this thread to address the issue.
If the issue persists after completing those steps, please let us know.
Thanks Carlos,
I followed your instructions and it fixed the CC-501 problem. Finding the proper place to revoke Quicken's authorization at Fidelity was tricky, but after navigating down multiple menus I finally found it. I understand that things change, but this entire process was a royal pain in (you know where). The initial error message (CC-501 — Try Again) is completely useless.
At least it's fixed now, I only hope I don't have to repeat this process the next time my security token (which worked fine for 23 years) expires.

Hi @gtalbott1, Thank you for following up and sharing your experience with the reauthorization process. I'm glad to hear you were able to resolve the CC-501 error. I understand how frustrating it can be to navigate multiple menus to find the correct settings. If the issue returns or you run into any other connection problems, please don't hesitate to reach out to us here in the Quicken Community. We're happy to help!
Carlos,
Thank you. I followed your instructions, the error message was resolved, and all my trnsactions downloaded correctly.
Why isn't your solution posted on the general support web site where Quicken Laura still reports Fidelity Investment CC-501, etc. remains unresolved and no ETA for fix. That message was posted on 9/23/26,
I’m glad to hear the error was resolved and that your transactions are downloading correctly!
The steps that worked for you may not resolve the issue for everyone, as the cause can vary depending on the specific error reported in our internal tools. Thanks for bringing this up and sharing your experience, as it may help other users experiencing the same issue.
I recommend monitoring the connection, and if the error returns, don’t hesitate to reach back out. We’re happy to help!
