I'd like to be able to work on my laptop when I travel and be able to sync between my desktop and my laptop to make sure the one I am using has the most current file. How do I do that?
Hi @KPeeling,
Thanks for reaching out to the Quicken Community with your question. If you would like to use Quicken on both computers, there are a few ways you can transfer your Quicken data between them.
If you are subscribed to Quicken Online Backup, you can use your backup to transfer the latest copy of your Quicken data file between computers. If you are not currently subscribed to Quicken Online Backup but would like to learn more about this option, I suggest reviewing our support article about Quicken Online Backup.
You can also transfer your Quicken data file using an external drive:
Important: Avoid opening or working directly with the Quicken data file from the external drive, as this can potentially cause issues with your data file.
If you primarily want to view your Quicken information while traveling rather than use the full desktop application, you can also set up and sync your accounts with Quicken on the Web. I suggest following the steps outlined in our support article, How to Set Up and Sync Accounts from Quicken to Mobile/Web.
I hope this helps clarify the available options for using Quicken on your desktop and laptop while traveling!
